I moved to Helsinki without ever visiting Finland because I read that it was the happiest place on earth . Finnish people don't wear shoes in the officeWhile it's not unusual to take off your shoes before entering someone's house, most Finnish offices also have a no-shoe policy. Some offices will have "indoor shoes," but for the most part, colleagues will wear socks. Reindeer meat tasted good to me, very tender and rich earthy flavor. I see reindeer meat mostly sold in local markets throughout the city.

It was hard to miss Mark Aaron Polger, Alexi Pappas and Masashi Kondo at the New York City Marathon on Sunday. With energy gels and bodega coffees in hand, the crowd made its way to Fort Wadsworth, where thousands of runners congregate each year before running the New York City Marathon. Speed demons wearing Nike Vaporflys and short-shorts mingled with casual runners wearing “Monsters, Inc.” onesies. That’s the record I’m going for. Running is therapeutic, even though I’m going to be running really, really slowly.

Nintendo (NTDOF) said it sold 18.51 million units of “Tears of the Kingdom” in the first quarter. The Kyoto-based gaming firm maintained its full-year forecast for the console of 15 million units. It sold 17.97 million units in the previous financial year. Attendees use a Nintendo Switch game console while playing a video game at the Paris Games Week (PGW), a trade fair for video games in Paris, France, October 29, 2019. Nintendo said it sold 18.51 million units of "Tears of the Kingdom" in the first quarter. The results underscore Nintendo's success in extending the life of the aging Switch system, which has sold almost 130 million units, and using its roster of popular characters to boost revenue beyond the core gaming business. The Kyoto-based gaming firm maintained its full-year forecast for the console of 15 million units, which would be a 16.5% decline on a year earlier. First-quarter operating profit leapt 82% on a year earlier to 185.4 billion yen with sales of first-party software at record highs.

In the end, they recaptured the ruined village of Staromaiorske, claiming Ukraine's biggest advance for weeks. Troops at the spearhead of Ukraine's counteroffensive say a battle last week along the front in the southeast proved to be tougher and bloodier than expected, with plans going awry and an enemy that was well-prepared. "The Russians were waiting for us," said a 29-year-old soldier using the call-sign Bulat, from a unit sent into battle in armoured vehicles during last week's assault. My vehicle drove over an anti-tank mine, but everything was ok, the vehicle took the hit, and everyone was alive. The Russian defenders had set up "pre-sighted zones" in anticipation of the attack, said a 24-year-old Ukrainian marine with the call-sign "Dub".

LOS ANGELES, July 25(Reuters) - Fans who play Pokemon late into the night have a new incentive to get to bed in the form of a sleep app that rewards them with the franchise's signature monsters. Pokemon Co, Niantic and Nintendo (7974.T), the companies behind the wildly popular Pokemon Go augmented reality mobile game, released Pokemon Sleep this month. The app monitors sleep through the user's phone, placed on the bed. Donald Trump coined a nickname for New York's AG after she sued him: Letitia 'Peekaboo' James. Trump had already called Letitia James "racist" for months prior to her suing him, in a not-so-veiled allusion to the AG being African American. "Racist A.G. Letitia "Peekaboo" James, the failed Gubernatorial candidate," Trump called the AG in a new Truth Social post. Trump fixer-turned-critic Michael Cohen doesn't like the odds on either of the leading peekaboo nickname-origin theories, one of which is X-rated and the other of which is deeply racist. Cohen didn't think much of the X-rated theory, floated around AG circles, which references some of the more graphic definitions of "peekaboo" from Urban Dictionary.
